Marcy started her career in Toronto, Canada, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science. Following this, Marcy graduated with her Doctorate in Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. She has also completed further studies in DMA Clinical Pilates.
Marcy has had experience in various areas, such as musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory, paediatrics and gerontology. As a physiotherapist who can speak Cantonese, Mandarin and conversational French, she has had experience abroad, including working with ultra-marathon and marathon runners in Hong Kong. With her expertise and all-rounded skillset, she enjoys treating multiple areas, including the mid-back, shoulder, knee and neck pain conditions.
Currently, Marcy is working as a consulting physiotherapist and clinical pilates instructor at Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic. She also performs rounds as a physiotherapist at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital whilst collaborating with several orthopaedic surgeons.
Besides physiotherapy, Marcy enjoys staying active by playing basketball, volleyball and badminton. Due to her active nature, Marcy is committed to helping people of all backgrounds return to their fitness levels.
Marcy is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
