Sophie Rubira

Sophie graduated with her Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney after previously completing her Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science. Since then, she has worked in various settings, including private practices, elite amateur football and strength & conditioning. Sophie has also undertaken additional Clinical Pilates and women’s health physiotherapy qualifications.

As a physiotherapist, Sophie draws upon her extensive experience to help her clients out of pain and move freely. Although she enjoys assisting people from all walks of life, she has developed a keen interest in women’s health. Specifically, Sophie is passionate about educating and treating women before, throughout and after pregnancy. She uses a range of treatment options, including massage, manual therapy, exercise and pilates.

Currently, Sophie is working as a consulting physiotherapist and clinical pilates instructor at Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic. She also performs rounds as a physiotherapist at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital whilst collaborating with several orthopaedic surgeons.
Away from work, Sophie enjoys sports, particularly AFL (Go Cats!) and enjoys new places to travel or explore.

Sophie is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
